Do you know what I think when someone is completely honest about themselves, when they admit that they don’t have it all together? I think, finally, thank goodness. ME TOO! I’m a bit of mess myself.
I feel complete relief. Because it’s rare to find people who are brave enough to stop pretending in a world that desperately wants you to.
We all have our messes. Not one of us is perfect.
Some of us just hide it better.
I’m not so good at hiding things anymore, so the truth is a better place for me. And the greatest thing I’ve found about that is this… God can use your mess to bless someone else! He can speak through your words and your imperfect story. And you don’t have to have it all figured out, you don’t have to have it all together.
He uses people who know what it’s like to struggle, who don’t feel like they are enough. Who don’t seem to fit with the status quo. And I love that.
Yes, give me real anyday.
Truth can get trapped by fear sometimes, but once it breaks free there is no stopping the blessing it can be. It opens up conversations, connection and stories.
It’s a safe space for someone who is struggling because they know that you get it.
All any of us really has to share is ourselves, our story and how we are working our way through. How we are finding joy amidst all of the hard stuff.
Because it’s always there.
Please, don’t ever feel like you are too broken to make a difference in someones life.
There is so much more to you than you realise.
Stay bold and courageous,
